Please consider supporting the BHS Foundation's new event for 2022
Friday, August 26, 2022
Pittsburgh Marriott North
5:30 pm - 10:30 pm

This fun filled summer evening with include cocktail hour, dinner, casino games, and other summer related activities.

The BHS Foundation has helped to fund a variety of initiatives throughout Butler Health System, and we are pleased to host this new event in support of the Patient Transportation Fund.  A lack of reliable transportation is a major barrier to medical care for rural communities, which includes Butler County and most of the other communities that BHS serves.

According to the 2020 census, 29.6 percent of occupied households in the City of Butler do not have access to a vehicle – a 19 percent increase compared to Pennsylvania’s 10.7 percent and a 21 percent increase compared to the United States.

Transportation barriers lead to a host of medical complications including delayed care, missed medication use, mismanagement of chronic illnesses, and poorer health outcomes. The Patient Transportation Fund focuses on two areas: helping patients get home after an ER visit or hospital stay; and transporting patients to and from critical and lifesaving medical appointments and treatments.

Your generous support of this event will help replenish the Patient Transportation Fund so BHS can continue to serve its patients and provide care in our local community. Click here to view sponsorship opportunities or purchase tickets.
